Aren't 6 pt stars a beautiful, ancient geometrical design? In the Solace quilt, I’ve dug through my huge box of low volume scraps to make the stars, and then tweaked a patten as old as the hills, with colourful stripes. I made it during the early pandemic lockdowns, and it was the perfect, calming project for such a time of upheaval. A simple, quiet pattern with a spark of hope! I hope it creates the same space for you to create and be.

Pattern comes with shape and fabric requirements,* clear instructions and diagrams, a colouring page for planning, and printable templates - a whole page of diamonds, and a whole page of triangles to make printing and cutting easy.

I LOVE letting you choose the best way to build your EPP bundles! Perhaps you prefer to hand-piece, or you rarely use acrylic templates. That's why I sell the Pattern, Paper Pieces, and Acrylic Templates separately.

*Pattern errata correction for page 3: You will need a total of (660) low volume diamonds to make this quilt, which means you would need a total of (660) scraps OR (48) 2 1/2" width of fabric (WOF) strips OR 3 1/2" yards of low volume fabric.

We are Tim and Jodi Godfrey. Husband and wife. Techy and creative. Raging extrovert and cosy homebody. We love putting our heads and skills together to make Tales of Cloth. We live in Orange, Australia with our brood of kids, dogs and chickens.

Our driving goal is beauty and goodness. Beautiful quilts, beautiful products, beautifully packaged in a way that brings joy and cares for the earth. We use unbleached, recycled paper for our shapes and packaging, and all of our cellophane wrapping is plant based and compostable. Our shapes are laser cut in Australia by our good friends Cut Once Templates.
