Honeycomb Paper Pieces
Honeycombs are hexagons but squished. Honeycombs are measured along one side, and all sides are equal.
They are the key shape in the beautiful and popular Patchwork of the Crosses, but they're also incredibly versatile. They tile in so many interesting and fun ways!
The first pic is from my new book, The Seedling Quilts! Honeysuckle Quilt uses 2" honeycombs.
My Patchwork of the Crosses quilt, Lucy’s Terrace, is available here as a pattern and kit. It uses 1 ¼” Honeycombs.
My Sprout Mini Quilt uses 132, 1 ½” honeycombs for a 23" x 29" finish. Click here for the tutorial.
